WIN FREE BEER FOR A YEAR

Henry Weinhard believed life was better with a beer in your hand and did many things to make this possible.
He bought a hotel so his friends could keep the night alive and stay safe after drinking.
He built his own brewery, and even filled the town fountain with beer (though that didn’t last long).
Radio 96.1 wanted to know…how have you helped your community?
5 Daily Winners won a case of Henry Weinhard’s Redwood Flats Amber Beer and 1 Grand Prize Winner will get 12 cases of Henry Weinhard’s – FREE BEER FOR A YEAR!
WINNING ENTRIES...
Monday - Nathan Gudeman - GRAND PRIZE WINNER!
I volunteer to coach lacrosse at my local high school, spreading the love for the game. Also, I am involved with a Pro Bono project that aids cancer patients in setting up their wills and trusts.
Tuesday - Tanya Khatatba
When it starts getting cold, I buy a bunch of gloves and hats from Wal-Mart and give them out to the homeless people I pass by. I give them the gear along with some snacks and a drink. Very rewarding and easy!
Wednesday - Lara Kehle
I work as an Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant spending my days helping parents and teachers with children birth to five. These children are our future, and their social emotional well-being is what will ensure that our future is a good one.
Thursday - Jud Patterson
I have set up a site that is helping raise money to restore an abandoned cemetery where Floyd Council is buried in an unmarked grave. Floyd Council is the man whose first name was combined with another piedmont bluesman (Pink Anderson) to name the band Pink Floyd.
Friday - Kim Strazis
I set up a children's reading center at a homeless/domestic abuse shelter in Oxford. Children generally come with their moms in tough times, and need some positive diversions.
And the Grand Prize winner, winning beer for a year:
